Week 1A: My Blog Theme
This particular blog theme 'Soho' immediately caught my eye with its dark/neutral color scheme and the original picture of a Boho style living area. I suppose the style just grabbed me. I changed the background picture to an oceanside cliff because it's exciting and terrifying at the same time -- which is how I'm feeling about this class... I also changed changed the main theme color to something a little less dark and the background color for my posts for easier readability. My old lady eyes don't like dark backgrounds with light text ;)
I have to admit I spent way too much time looking at fonts and font colors. I enjoy getting creative with this stuff, but I can really fall down the rabbit hole and before I know it, two hours have passed and I haven't accomplished much.
I enjoyed clicking around and testing out different colors for everything -- that reset button really came in handy a few times! I look forward to seeing everyone else's blogs and adding to mine a bit more this weekend.
And just for fun, a little dog 'tax' for anyone who read my post!

I love your choice of the cliff! I feel the same way- excited and terrified at the same time. I also love the photo of what I assume are your fur babies. I am a total sucker for all dogs! My old eyes don’t like the dark background with a light font either. Great job!,
ReplyDeleteYep, those are my girls! I'm a little dog obsessed, too 😊
DeleteTwo dogs are so cute, I like dogs. Blog is also amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteHey Jess (that's my sisters name!) Thank you for commenting on my blog! Your pups are darling by the way! As an artist, I totally understand getting way too excited about colour combos and fonts- but the end result here is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLoved the first impression with that big drop off the cliff. I‘ve got a 55” screen so it made quite an impact. I thought it was cute that your dogs have first and middle names 😊
ReplyDeleteI can relate to constant tweaking of the appearance of the blog. I think your choices and changes came out great.
First and middle names are pretty much a requirement as a southerner 😋
